Heartfelt Condolences Expressed Following the Tragic Plane Crash in India

Bangladesh Islami Chhatrashibir expresses profound grief and sorrow over the tragic plane crash that occurred in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.

In a joint statement issued today (June 12), the Central President of Bangladesh Islami Chhatrashibir, Jahidul Islam, and Secretary General, Nurul Islam Saddam, extended their heartfelt condolences to the victims and their families.

According to official reports, on Thursday, June 12, at 1:38 PM, an Air India passenger aircraft (Flight Number: AI-171, Aircraft Model: Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner), en route from Ahmedabad to London’s Gatwick Airport, lost control shortly after takeoff and crashed into the hostel building of BJ Medical College and Hospital.

The aircraft was carrying 242 individuals on board, including 230 passengers and 12 crew members. As per various media sources, the crash claimed the lives of nearly all those on board. Additionally, over fifty students residing in the hostel sustained injuries due to the impact. More than 204 bodies have been recovered so far. However, reports suggest that one British-Indian passenger was rescued alive.

We express our deep sorrow over this tragic accident and express our condolences to the families and the medical college students who lost their lives in this heartbreaking incident.
